Huperzine A

Huperzine A does in the brain just what the awful drugs do, but without the side affects.  Normally healthy people can also take it to help their brain function - memory, concentration etc. I've used it on and off, and am sure it helps. Also, people with high blood pressure should see their doctor before taking it.

Huperzine A is a phytonutrient that helps to maintain memory function, and benefits in helping those with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It is an extract from a club moss (Huperzia serrata) and it has been used for centuries in Chinese folk medicine. It slows down the breakdown of acetylcholine, a process that accelerates with aging. Acetylcholine plays the important role in the brain of enabling the delivery of messages from neuron to neuron.

Do not use more than 100 mcg daily, due to an increased amount could be toxic. Huperzine A has a long half life, which could lead to cumulative effects. Due to its strong anticholinesterase activity, Huperzine A could cause a cholinergic reaction (related to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine). Huperzine A side effects could include sweating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and cramps.

As always, we encourage you to be under a professional's care when using this product and do not exceed the recommended dosage
